Vision

Carlos' mobile grill vision made much progress towards complete today. The actual grill is not yet on the trailer, but he is still working on into the daylight night.

Neva has learned that standing on tip-toe can increase her vision.

Summer

Couldn't ask for better summer weather to enjoy the out-of-doors.
Carlos made great progress on his food unit. Neva got to use her new sun hat and her new bike trailer!

Old and New

Carlos was able to bring my dad's '77 Suburban down from Tok today. The plan is to pull the mobile grill with it.

Meanwhile, Neva and I went to the Palmer Pool for her first ever swimming pool experience. For the first 15 minutes she just was wide-eyed and stiff, taking everything in. She gradually got more comfortable and started kicking her legs and making excited noises. This picture is as we were getting out. We had alot of fun in the shallow end! It will be a weekly activity this summer.

Birthday Party for Neva

We had a few of Neva's favorite people over Sunday to kick off the celebration of 1 year.

Some crawling footage

She will be walking soon, so we needed to capture her funny crawl.

11 months old

Carlos took these on a sunny afternoon. She has made great progress with her locomotion skills! She is pulling herself army-crawl style and pushing herself up on all fours, still working on shifting her weight for transitions and alternating movement. She is beautiful and delightful and we are so captivated watching her grow.

Easter Sunday

We enjoyed our first family Easter Sunday. It started with an early service, then brunch at church. Neva had time to take a nap, then we went out to meet Jesse and Kit for the Persson tradition of an Easter Picnic. Though it was beautifully sunny Saturday and most of the snow is gone at our house, our picnic was overcast and a little chilly. Delicious food and smiles from Neva seemed to support the continuing of the Alaskan Easter tradition.

Baby reindeer on the way home! Spring is really here.
