Moms and moose

A boy moose was helping himself to some willow bushes by our house this morning. It has been a lovely weekend spending time with my mom who was able to be in Alaska to help a friend recover from surgery this last week. Neva showed off her skills waving and turning the pages of books. One bottom tooth has started to come through! She is getting so big.

In between: Neva is drinking from sippy cups and holding her own bottle. She is quite happy with her new independence.

I've slowly been sorting through all the Christmas pictures and these are some of my favorites. Neva was sick with a snotty nose and a cough since New Year's Eve, but she is back to herself this week. She has been enjoying dumping out buckets of things, banging things together, and waving. No teeth or crawling yet!

Neva has had a smile for everyone in her family. Here are some of her favorite people, including her cousin Liliana who is just two months older than her- though she wasn't sure about the kiss.

Christmas in Denver

Baby's first Christmas has been delightful with Neva smiling at every new face and bringing joy to all. Here are just a few snapshots of our first few days here.

It has been snowing for two days here! It is light and fluffy and fun for all.

We leave for Denver Saturday to see family and friends for the holidays.

Height and Weight

Neva had her 6 month check up today. She is 16.5 pounds and 27.75 inches long! She is in the 97th percentile for height. We are so thankful for our happy healthy baby.
