Jaron and Laura brought a baby backpack for us. We got Neva in her size large snowsuit and stuffed her in there. She was quite content to ride along with papa. She stayed warm even with snow flakes on her face. The snow was perfect for snowmen- the photos are a little out of order but you get the idea!

Formula, Friends, and Frozen
It's fifteen below right now in the Butte Alaska. The boots my mom bought Neva are coming in handy as we try to keep her warm when we go out. Friends Jaron and Laura were here from Soldotna this weekend and are planning on joining us for Thanksgiving also. Neva is learning to drink her own milk. We're using fast flow nipples now and she's eating a combination of breast milk, formula and food throughout the day. Some diluted prune juice also as we try and get her poops going. Carlos made a bunch of baby food today and some yummy tortilla soup for us. He is working some extra hours at the meat shop in the evenings Mon.-Wed. to keep up with the holiday rush. We are going to get a smoked turkey! and I'm going to secure some pumpkin cheesecake. Yum!

First week of November
Neva and her papa are enjoying their three days together. A favorite activity is reading Raton de Campo y Raton de Ciudad (Country mouse and city mouse). She is pooping and growing- hopefully into those feet! She is eating some solids every day in addition to breast milk and some water. She has been enthusiastic about squash, papaya, carrots, apples, and even peas this week. Work for Shelly is going well, but Friday cannot come fast enough. Both mom and dad were vaccinated this week for H1N1 and are feeling healthy so far. Hope all is well where you are.
